Natural selection is an evolutionary process in which individuals with survival-promoting traits reproduce at higher rates. These favorable traits become more common within a population or species. Naturally selected traits initially arise via random genetic mutations. In order for selection to occur, there must be variation within a population, the trait controlling the variation must be heritable, and there must be an evolutionary advantage for variation in the trait.

主な方法:

  • 黄色い腹のモルモットの集団を研究した.
  • リスク評価の指標として測定された飛行開始距離 (FID)
  • 空気温,雪の消失日,7月の降水量などの環境要因との関係を分析した.

主要な成果:

  • 空気温の上昇は 飛行開始距離の縮小と関連しており マルモットは より近い距離を許容します
  • FIDに対する温度の影響は比較的小さい.
  • 雪の消失日や7月の降雨がモルモットFIDに有意な影響を及ぼさなかった.

結論:

  • 暖かい気温は マルモットのリスク評価能力を低下させたり 脱出反応を脅かしたりします
  • 動物のリスク評価における 気候による変化を理解することは 集団の生存可能性を予測するのに不可欠です
  • この発見を地球温暖化対策に 組み込むにはさらなる研究が必要です
