米国請求データベースを利用して,3つの患者群を特定した.全GPP,GPPとPsO (GPP+PsO),およびGPPのみ.
GPPの診断前と診断後の2つの365日間の治療データを分析した.

主要な成果:

局所および全身用コルチコステロイドは,GPP+POとGPPのみのコホートにおける診断後の最も一般的な治療法でした.
系統生物学的および非生物学的薬は,GPP+PsOコホートでGPPのみのコホートと比較してより頻繁に処方されました.
診断前と比較して,生物学的薬を含む他の治療法は増加した.

結論:

コルチコステロイドは,離脱時にGPPの発症のリスクにもかかわらず,頻繁に使用されました.
研究期間中にFDAが承認した標的型GPP治療法がないことを反映して,GPPのみの患者は少なかった.
この発見は,GPPに対する最初の生物学的薬であるスペソリマブのFDA承認に先立ちました.
