糖尿病前の女性では,食事による炎症指数 (DII) と血清アスプロシン濃度が高くなります. アスプロシン濃度の上昇はDIIの上昇と関連しており,糖尿病前期の潜在的バイオマーカーを示唆しているが,さらなる研究が必要である.
