  • 探索行動(再訪、拡散)とメンタル表現の関連を調査する。これらの関連に対する視空間的要因(ワーキングメモリ、道案内傾向)の寄与を調べる。

主な方法:

  • 234人の参加者が、認知およびアンケートタスクを完了した後、CAVE環境で仮想都市を探索した。再訪、拡散などの探索行動を定量化し、地図描画によって調査知識を評価した。視空間ワーキングメモリと道案内傾向(自己効力感、楽しさ、不安)を測定した。

主要な成果:

  • 探索行動は性別によって異なり、女性は再訪と拡散が少なかった。自己効力感と探索の楽しさが高いほど、再訪が減少した。ジョイスティックへの習熟度が高まると拡散が増加した。探索行動は、性別/自己効力感/楽しさと地図の正確さの関係を媒介した。視空間ワーキングメモリは地図の正確さを直接予測した。

結論:

  • 自由探索からの調査知識の発展には、探索行動における個人差が関連している。視空間ワーキングメモリは地図の正確さに直接影響を与え、探索戦略は個人的要因と性別によって影響を受ける。これらの個人要因を理解することは、環境学習と空間認知を理解する上で重要である。
