深層学習再構成(DLR)を用いた超高解像度CT(UHRCT)は、治療が困難な肺尖部腫瘍の描出を著しく改善しました。この描出能の向上は、肺腺がんの正確な診断と適切な治療計画に役立ちました。

主な方法:

  • 右肺上葉の肺腺がんと診断された70歳男性に対し、Canon Aquilion Precisionスキャナーを用いてUHRCTを実施しました。
  • DLRを用いて0.25mmのスライス厚で画像を再構成し、従来のフィルターバックプロジェクションと比較しました。
  • 腫瘍の大きさ、胸壁との関係、アーチファクトの低減に焦点を当てて評価しました。

主要な成果:

  • DLRは、肩と鎖骨からのノイズとストリークアーチファクトを大幅に減らし、画質を向上させました。
  • DLRを用いたUHRCTは、従来のCTでは不明瞭であった腫瘍の優位胸壁への浸潤を鮮明に描出し、治療方針を手術から全身化学療法へと変更するに至りました。
