Rationale:
Teeth loss raises functional, aesthetic as well as the social concerns affecting the quality of life. Bone loss requires reconstruction of alveolar hard tissues before dental implant placement.
Patient Concerns:
Patient reported with a chief complaint of multiple carious teeth wanting rehabilitation.
Diagnosis:
This article presents a case of Class V anterior maxillary residual ridge and Class VI posterior maxillary residual ridge with Class I mandibular residual ridge.
Treatment:
Anterior iliac crest bone grafting was done in the maxilla followed by immediate implant placement in both the arches in the same setting. Prosthesis was delivered after 3 months.
Outcomes:
Ten-year as well as 14-year follow-up of this case reported a favourable oral health-related quality of life and satisfaction.
Take-Away Lessons:
Iliac bone grafting followed by immediate implant placement can give a favourable outcome if the case selection is proper.
