Abstract:

Wearable health systems include wearable devices, designed to be worn while continuously measuring aspects of our physical and mental health, and the hardware and software components that support their operation. Designed to provide a more comprehensive and integrated approach to health management, their integration in clinical settings has been hindered by a lack of data interpretability. In this chapter, we review their architectures, sensing parameters, and data stages of wearable health systems to understand the current limitations and challenges.
