[The use of the Cell-Saver blood preservation method in performing heart operations]

Sixty five patients were operated on using "Cell-Saver Compact" apparatus. The gathered from operative wound blood was reinfused to the patient as a washed erythrocytes together with perfusate from cardiotomy reservoirs of artificial circulation apparatus and with the blood discharges from drains in the early postoperative period.
