[The immediate and late results of using the Scalpel-1 laser unit]

Efficacy of treating tumors of the face and buccal mucosa with a laser scalpel is analyzed. A total of 455 patients of both sexes aged 9-55 years were treated. Scalpel-1 device was used. 185 patients operated on from December 1, 1991 to December 1, 1996 were followed up for 5 years. No relapses occurred and a good local cosmetic effect was attained.
