Abstract:
The increasing complexity of reimbursement systems and other financial issues forces hospitals to obtain maximum reimbursement from third-party payers. What effect does this have on price-setting decisions? This article presents the results of a survey that sought to identify the key players in setting prices in nonprofit hospitals and the objectives pursued in setting those prices.
