This article, by a manager of outpatient services, provides an overview of the inspection requirements for outpatient imaging centers. According to the author, while most freestanding centers are not currently inspected by the JCAHO, they must follow the guidelines of several other agencies. The author provides a list of 57 questions asked by JCAHO surveyors during a recent inspection of her facility.
