Summary

Interleukin-5 (IL-5) and eotaxin influence eosinophil development from bone marrow (BM) progenitors. Asthmatic BM shows increased eosinophils and early receptor acquisition, suggesting IL-5 acts early and eotaxin mobilizes BM eosinophils.
