A case for system security

Mainframe security measures provided by the manufacturer, are adequate for normal security needs. However, a truly competent MIS security and/or hospital administration strategy must try to take advantage of the latest technological advancements as they become available. The integration of intelligent "dial-back" modems that "hang up" and then re-establish their communications link with a CRT terminal is now a requirement. However, finding a terminal with adequate stand-alone security devices is a different matter.
