Privileges and quality assurance mechanisms for nonphysicians

There is a growing number of individuals who provide health care services within hospitals who are neither hospital employees nor medical staff members and whose services must be evaluated. The following article presents the American Hospital Association's guidelines on privileges and quality assurance for health practitioners other than medical staff members or employees.
