Vision anomalies of Indian school children: the Lame Deer study
Abstract:
The occurrence of vision anomalies among American Indian school children is measured for an entire school population, according to grade (pre-kindergarten through 12). The anomalies are identified, classified in three major groups (myopes, astigmats, all other), and each group is compared to Caucasian school children. Some conclusions and recommendations are made concerning the vision care needs of Amerind school children.
