[Compression of the posterior branch of the radial nerve]

Some compressions of the posterior branch of the radial nerve (posterior interosseous nerve) may be caused either by transverse fibrous formations in the front of the articular capsule of the elbow or by the anterior edge of the 2nd radial, as well as by Froshe's arch or the surface end ot the short supinator. Such damage may be due to repeated dorsal bending movements of the wrist, hyperextension of the elbow and, above all, pronosupination of the forearm.
