Peer review in quality assurance

Peer review can be an effective tool for quality assurance. Many methods are available for a group of clinicians to use to evaluate the care that they deliver. Successful review often depends on the support of a nonjudgmental environment. When the goal of the review is problem identification and problem solving, not blaming, peer review can result in true quality improvement.
