Imaging studies down overall, but new modalities show increase

While the number of diagnostic procedures performed from 1983 to 1984 decreased by 5%, the newer modalities all show an increase. This article, the first in a series on radiology market trends and conditions, presents findings for a wide range of imaging studies.
