Use of parents' suggestions in evaluating a long-term care program for disabled children
Abstract:
In an attempt to evaluate the services provided in a children's chronic care hospital, the authors administered a 24-item questionnaire to 85 parents. Thirty-four parents (40%) responded with their opinions and suggestions. The paper outlines the questionnaire, the details of the parents' responses, and the action taken by the hospital. The use of a parent questionnaire as a method of introducing changes in the environment of a children's hospital is discussed.
