Abstract:
Acute and chronic hepatitis B affect a large number of adolescents, and their complications are major causes of morbidity and mortality. The authors emphasize the importance of targeting adolescents for prevention and discuss the most recent diagnostic and therapeutic advances concerning both the hepatitis B and hepatitis delta viruses.
