Monoarticular synovial lesions: radiologic pictorial essay with pathologic illustration

A wide variety of common focal monoarticular synovial lesions may be encountered on imaging studies. A multi-modality approach to these lesions, with appreciation of the differing appearances, can often yield the correct diagnosis.
