Summary

Intermittent exposure to a 60 Hz magnetic field disrupted sleep, reducing total sleep time and efficiency. Continuous exposure showed no significant effects on sleep patterns.

  • To investigate the effects of intermittent versus continuous exposure to a 60 Hz, 28.3 microT magnetic field on electroencephalogram (EEG) measures of night sleep.
