Summary

Previously used CLOtest kits can be reused for H. pylori detection, offering significant cost savings and environmental benefits. This study demonstrates high accuracy and reliability when reusing negative CLOtest pellets.

Background:

  • The CLOtest (Campylobacter-like organism test) detects H. pylori by identifying urease activity, which produces ammonia.

  • To evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of reusing negative CLOtest pellets for H. pylori detection.
