[Extracranial lymphatic pathways during the compensation of cerebral hemorrhages]
1Department of Operative Surgery and Clinical Anatomy, Medical Academy, Orenburg.
A process of brain haemorrhages compensation, manifested by migration of free erythrocytes from centres of haemorrhages into the cerebrum into the cervical lymph nodes was studied on 40 experimental and 37 sectional observations. Typical zones of forming of erythrocytes aggregations in nodes were revealed, dynamics of compensation process was shown. Experimental data were confirmed and groups of lymph nodes, participating in compensations of brain haemorrhages were shown on the sectional material.

On the other hand, the vertebral veins, unlike their arterial counterparts, are not primarily responsible for brain drainage. Instead, they drain the cervical vertebrae, spinal cord, and some small...

This one-way system allows fluids, solutes, and even pathogens to enter but prevents their return to the intercellular spaces.
