Abstract
Background:
Dermatological problems are a common presentation in general practice and skin disorders may be a manifestation of underlying systemic disease.
Objective:
To describe cutaneous manifestations of some commonly occurring systemic diseases.
Discussion:
This article alerts the general practitioner to those skin conditions that may warrant further assessment for underlying disease and those that may complicate known disorders such as diabetes.
