1President of Open MRI of Ohio, Forum Health, Youngstown, OH, USA.
Abstract:
Are the skills taught in medical school sufficient for running a practice under managed care? Of 784 physicians randomly sent a questionnaire posing this and other questions, 94 percent agreed that managed care has changed the constellation of skills needed by physicians. Specifically useful to know are business administration skills, said 89 percent; and 59 percent felt business administration skills would directly enhance patient treatment.
