Chronic neuroautoimmune inflammation, modeled by experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), induces sickness behaviors similar to depression. These behavioral changes in EAE mice precede neurological symptoms, offering a model for multiple sclerosis (MS) depressive symptoms.
