Abstract:
Medical confidentiality and data protection are important for medical research. They should not impede medical progress. Unfortunately, the German legal situation is not easy to understand. There are different statutes which have to be reconciled. It is necessary that by special statute the particular problems of medical research and confidentiality as well as data protection should be regulated.
