[Integration of clinical approaches in psychiatry. The example of obsessive-compulsive disorder]

The objective of this paper is to discuss the complex challenge of psychiatry which tries to integrate knowledge and therapeutic strategies from very different fields. Obsessive compulsive disorder is chosen as an example of a pathological condition where that integration of scientific knowledge is essential and where the combined use of pharmacotherapy, psychoeducation and cognitive behavioural therapy is particularly required for optimal treatment.
