[The errors and complications in corrective operations for scoliosis]

The analysis of mistakes and complications after 4377 correcting operations, performed in 2719 patients for severe scoliosis, was done. The working classification and on her background computer programme of disease diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment were proposed. Mistakes of preoperative period were mainly tactical, while during the operation--technical, in early postoperative period--clinical and in the late postoperative period--orthopedic. The presence of mistakes lowered significantly the treatment efficacy, they had become the cause of mortality.
