Selective embolization using poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) [poly(HEMA)] particles combined with targeted chemotherapy offers an effective tumor treatment. This chemoembolization method, involving localized drug infusion, demonstrated long-term survival in a liver carcinoid metastasis patient.
