Abstract:
The results of surgical treatment of 42 patients with hepatic echinococcosis were analyzed. Solitary cyst was revealed in 28 (66.7%) of patients, complicated forms of the disease--in 5 (11.9%). Radical surgical intervention included the hepatic resection (in 18 observations) and pericystectomy (in 24). Specific postoperative complications didn't occur, all the patients survived. In the late follow up period the recurrences were not noted.
