[symbol: see text] Tiagabine: add-on treatment for partial seizures

Up to 30% of patients with epilepsy have seizures resistant to available treatments. We consider here the place of [symbol: see text] tiagabine (Gabitril-Sanofi-Synthelabo), which was recently introduced as an "add-on therapy for partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation where control is not achieved by optimal doses of at least one other anti-epileptic".
