Recent advances in the management of Alzheimer's disease

Alzheimer's disease is a chronic degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. As the disease progresses there is gradual increase of mental and physical incapacitation, ultimately leading to death. Recent advances in the management of the disease focused the most extensive drug development activity towards the anticholinesterase agents.
