Insights
This study examined 8 patients with abdominal aorta aneurysm (AAA) chronic rupture (CHR). All patients diagnosed with AAA CHR should undergo surgical intervention for better outcomes.
Area of Science:
- Vascular Surgery
- Cardiovascular Medicine
Background:
- Abdominal aorta aneurysm (AAA) chronic rupture (CHR) presents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge.
- Timely intervention is crucial for managing AAA CHR.
Purpose of the Study:
- To evaluate the examination and treatment of patients diagnosed with AAA CHR.
- To determine the optimal management strategy for AAA CHR.
Main Methods:
- Retrospective analysis of 8 patients with AAA CHR.
- Diagnosis based on clinical data, patient history, and invasive/noninvasive investigations.
- Surgical treatment was performed on all patients.
Main Results:
- The average delay between rupture occurrence and surgery was 3.6 months.
- Successful diagnosis was achieved through comprehensive evaluation methods.
- All treated patients underwent surgical repair.
Conclusions:
- Surgical intervention is recommended for all patients diagnosed with AAA CHR.
- Early diagnosis and prompt surgical treatment are vital for managing AAA CHR.
Abstract:
Examination and treatment of 8 patients with the abdominal aorta aneurysm (AAA) chronic rupture (CHR) was done. The interval between the aneurysm rupture occurrence and of the operation performance had constituted 3.6 months. The disease was diagnosed basing on the anamnesis data, on the results of clinical, invasive and noninvasive methods of investigation. The authors suggest necessary to operate all the patients with the AAA CHR.
