Abstract:
Dr. Wendell G. Scott hailed mammography as the first significant contribution to the control of breast cancer since Halsted described the radical mastectomy in 1903. Mammography as engendered new approaches and has supplied new concepts of breast cancer. Through the tenacity of a few physicians convinced something could be done for the breast cancer patient, the team against this dread disease has gradually, but solidly, been built and continues to grow.
