[Patient suicide during inpatient psychiatric therapy. New developments]

The increase of suicides in the seventies and eighties during psychiatric hospital treatment is well documented. Suprisingly, results from the last years in the nineties show different courses of suicide rates in psychiatric hospitals, sometimes with a tendency of a decrease.
