Sexual dysfunction in the elderly patient

With the aging population, the primary care physician will frequently encounter elderly patients with sexual dysfunction. The majority of older patients desire to maintain their sexual activity without significant decline. Age-related physiologic changes include the slower progression of the sexual response cycle.
