Peginterferon alfa-2a in patients with chronic hepatitis C

Peginterferon alfa-2a, a modified form of interferon alfa-2a, offers a more effective treatment for chronic hepatitis C. This pegylated interferon, administered weekly, significantly improves virologic response rates compared to standard interferon therapy.
