Multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG) effectively quantifies visual function in age-related maculopathies. mfERG shows amplitude depression and latency prolongation, with significant changes in wet-form age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and moderate changes in dry-form AMD and idiopathic macular hole (IMH).
