[Infusion solutions: a controllable factor in hospital costs (author's transl)]

The development of costs for fluid treatment in a general hospital during four years is reported. A considerable lowering of costs could be attained by reduction of proprietary specialities without dispensing with individual therapy. Problems arising are discussed.
