Context:

Advanced bladder cancer (T2-T4 stage transitional cell carcinoma) necessitates radical treatment.
Ileoneocystoplasty is a reconstructive option following cystectomy.

Purpose:

To evaluate the efficacy and outcomes of a modified ileoneocystoplasty technique in patients undergoing radical cystectomy for bladder cancer.

Summary:

The study involved 32 patients with T2-T4 transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder who underwent radical cystectomy with a modified ileoneocystoplasty.
The technique involves creating a neobladder from a 40-60 cm ileal segment, with specific steps for posterior wall formation and ureteral anastomosis.
Postoperative complications, primarily septic-purulent, occurred in 17 patients, with a 9.4% mortality rate.
