Abstract
Background:
The game, Blood Clot, is an educational tool to reinforce learning following a lecture about disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
Method:
The game was implemented as an educational update for thirty Registered Nurses in a hospital setting.
Results:
The game reinforced learning of lecture material and stimulated group involvement and communication.
Conclusion:
The self-report evaluations indicate Blood Clot enhanced communication within the group and application of lecture material to solve problems.
