[Bilateral subtotal scapulectomy for chondrosarcoma in Ollier's disease within a 16-year interval]

We report the case of a young man with Ollier's disease who underwent three successive procedures for sarcomatous degeneration of some of his endochondromatous lesions. From the age of twenty, the patient required surgery for resection of a cartilage tumor of the body of L5, amputation of the right index finger, and successive right then left subtotal scapulectomy. At 40 years, the patient presents other stable lesions, mainly located on the right side of the body. We were particularly interested in the functional outcome of the two shoulders in this patient who continues to have normal social and occupational activities.
