Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the preliminary clinical outcomes of the SJM-Quattro-MV bioprosthesis.
  • To assess the hemodynamic performance of the SJM-Quattro-MV in patients undergoing mitral valve replacement.

Main Methods:

  • Twelve patients (mean age 71 years) with mitral valve stenosis or incompetence received the SJM-Quattro-MV.
  • Preoperative assessment included New York Heart Association functional class III and left ventricular ejection fraction.
