Summary

Cell origin significantly impacts in vitro interactions between smooth muscle cells (SMC) and endothelial cells (EC). Human cell cocultures showed inhibited growth, while bovine ECs stimulated SMC proliferation, highlighting species-specific effects in cell-cell studies.
