    Summary

A rare case of chronic hematuria caused by an intraparenchymal renal aneurysm is discussed. Conservative treatment with partial nephrectomy offers good outcomes and prevents life-threatening rupture.

    Area of Science:

    • Nephrology
    • Vascular Surgery
    • Urology

    Background:

    • Intraparenchymal renal aneurysms are rare vascular malformations.
    • Chronic hematuria can be a presenting symptom of these aneurysms.
    • Spontaneous rupture poses a significant risk of life-threatening hemorrhage.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To present a rare case of chronic hematuria secondary to an intraparenchymal renal aneurysm.
    • To discuss the diagnostic and therapeutic implications of this condition.
    • To highlight the benefits of conservative management.

    Main Methods:

    • Case presentation of a patient with chronic hematuria.
    • Diagnostic workup including imaging studies.
    • Surgical intervention via partial nephrectomy.

    Main Results:

    • Successful conservative management of the intraparenchymal renal aneurysm.
    • Resolution of chronic hematuria post-partial nephrectomy.
    • Good functional outcome following the procedure.

    Conclusions:

    • Partial nephrectomy is a safe and effective treatment for intraparenchymal renal aneurysms presenting with hematuria.
    • Conservative management is recommended to prevent potential catastrophic rupture.
    • Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for favorable patient outcomes.
