Summary

Korean plants were screened for novel anti-human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (anti-HIV-1) agents. Several plant extracts demonstrated significant inhibitory activity against HIV-1 reverse transcriptase and protease, indicating potential for new antiviral drug development.
