  • Imaging studies revealed a semisolid mass in the left ventricular apex.

Findings:

  • Echocardiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging confirmed an echinococcal cyst.
  • Surgical excision of the cyst was successfully performed using cardiopulmonary bypass.

Implications:

  • This case highlights the importance of considering parasitic infections in cardiac masses.
  • Successful surgical management of cardiac echinococcosis is achievable.
