Abstract:
Andres Piquer (1711-1772) was the most important medical philosopher of the Spanish Enlightenment. He was also the first who translated Hippocratic works into Spanish. In the following pages, the authors summarize Andres Piquer's opinions concerning the problem of the relationship between philosophical methods and understanding medicine.
